  • HEDCO congratulates Balanced Fitness & Health (Iowa) as they commemorate 10 Years in operation at their Eastern Iowa clinics. On May 7th and 8th, 2024, Balanced Fitness & Health will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its physical and occupational therapy clinics in Hiawatha and Cedar Rapids. To celebrate, coffee and donuts will be served on May 7th from 8-10 a.m. at the original Balanced Fitness & Health Clinic at 2200 Heritage Green Drive, Hiawatha. On May 8th, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., an open house with drinks and appetizers will be held at 855 Wright Brothers Boulevard SW, Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids clinic opened in 2021. It features a new, expanded area for Work Conditioning, which will be open for tours. “We’re incredibly grateful to our corporate and individual clients for trusting us and seeing the difference in the way we provide care at Balanced Fitness & Health. Thank you for being on this journey with us. Looking forward to many more years to come!” Melissa White, founder and CEO of Balanced Fitness & Health. White started the business in May 2014 and through her passion and determination, she has grown the Balanced Fitness & Health team to what it is today. The team’s specializations include hand therapy, vestibular therapy, dry needling, Pilates, lymphatic therapy, ergonomics, Workers’ Compensation therapy, and injury prevention. Balanced Fitness & Health was voted Best of Health & Well Being in Hiawatha and named one of the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City Corridor’s Coolest Places to Work.   • City of Hiawatha, Iowa Mayor Steve Dodson welcomed Blue Lagoon Pool & Spa owners, Jeff Frink and Breanna Frink Rickels, to the business community with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, April 18, at their new location in Hiawatha (1200 North Center Point Road).
